ABOUT ME

Overview

I was born in Florida but grew up in Kansas. I started playing guitar because I couldn’t afford a drum kit. I spent my teens playing in bands with friends and sussing out figuring out songs by ear. I played drums, guitar, and vibraphone in my high school jazz band ‘cause it was an absolute blast. I played anything I could hit with a stick in orchestras ‘cause the ladies love a triangle player. I played snare drum in marching bands ‘cause I was a glutton for punishment. I studied music theory and composition at the University of Kansas 'cause it seemed like a good idea at the time.

I joined shoegaze band Shallow on electric guitar and Farfisa Mini Compact organ and toured a bunch with them. I moved to the Bay Area in my 20s and spent way too long working in restaurants. I started Axes of E’ville in my early 30s because I was miserable not working with music. I’m queer. I have ADHD. My pronouns are he/him/his.
